1990 Music Video Clip

A music video for Marina Maximilian's song "1990", which talks about immigration from the Soviet Union to Israel. In the clip, I addressed questions of belonging, nostalgia, and longing, and the concept of home by using everyday images such as riding a bus, walking through a neighborhood, or vacuuming the carpet at home. I combined both Israeli and Russian cultures in frames in a way that doesn't match reality, creating a hybrid and complex reality. I tried to move viewers with a fresh look, along with the lyrics, at ordinary situations in daily life.
