How did Esther Cailingold, a British girl who received a prestigious scholarship from the University of London, end up fighting under fire from the Jordanian Legion in the War of Independence? About the long journey Cailingold, daughter of a religious Zionist family, took from her comfortable life in London, through immigrating to Israel alone, to her uncompromising attempts to join the fighting forces in Jerusalem.
